As the graph shows, mobile total income has not only increased significantly since 2003, but its share of overall iGaming income has also risen quickly, particularly in the past five years.
H2 predicts that mobile will account for over 52% of total iGaming income by 2023, although many operators are already reporting that over 50% of their income comes from mobile channels, especially in sports betting. As the pie chart shows, 67% of mobile income comes from sports betting.
Interestingly, while Europe dominates global mobile income, Asia and the Middle East have a higher percentage of total income coming from mobile devices. This may be due to the slow development of fixed-line broadband in some nations, particularly in Asia, where many users have skipped desktop computers altogether and used mobile devices as their first internet device.
