The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has declared that Alison Enticknap will assume the newly formed position of Director of Strategy and Transformation.
Enticknap will be in charge of coordinating the BHA’s industry strategy in her new position, collaborating with her colleagues across the sector.
Enticknap’s new position will be part of the BHA’s newly established Strategy and Transformation department, which is currently being set up.
The department will be accountable for overseeing cross-industry projects and program execution, as well as capacity development.
Enticknap has served as the BHA’s interim Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs since 2021, having initially joined the organization in 2018.
“I believe this role presents a remarkable opportunity for the racing industry to work together to address the most significant challenges we face and grasp important opportunities,” Enticknap stated. “The benefits will be substantial if we can work together as an industry and achieve success.
“I look forward to working with the abundance of knowledge and expertise within the racing industry and assisting in ensuring the outcome we all desire – a flourishing and sustainable sport.”
Before joining the organization, Enticknap held communications and public affairs positions at companies including T-Mobile, Virgin Atlantic, and Powergen.
Establishing a fresh strategy and transformation division is vital for our movement’s collective development of a new industry strategic blueprint,” stated Joe Soames-Smith, who assumed the role of BHA chairperson following Anne Marie Phillips’ departure in March.
“I am delighted that we have appointed Alison to head this division. Her demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to forge connections and propel change will be essential to the accomplishment of this endeavor.”
