The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has declared a series of top-level appointments, including the naming of Pat Davis as the new head and chief executive.
Davis previously served as BCLC’s chief information officer and vice president of business technology, supervising the modernization of the organization’s technological platform and the execution of its digital plan.
Before joining BCLC, Davis held leadership positions in enterprise architecture and project management and was a member of the British Columbia Chief Information Officer Council.
Davis takes over from Linda Cavanagh, who has been acting as BCLC’s interim head and chief executive since January. Cavanagh assumed the role from Greg Moore, who was appointed interim head and chief executive in September 2019 when Jim Lightbody took a medical leave and subsequently stepped down in December 2021.
“Pat brings a wealth of experience in technology and the gaming sector,” said Greg Moore, Chair of the BCLC Board of Directors.
We are certain that his vast experience, coupled with his dedication to honesty, player well-being, and representing the interests of players and the region, will continue to propel BCLC’s growth as a socially accountable organization operating with the utmost standards.
In the meantime, BCLC has declared that Dan Beebe and Sandra Austin have been named as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer, respectively, in permanent positions.
Beebe and Austin had been serving in these positions on a temporary basis for a considerable period and will now officially take on these roles.
