Betfair Extends Derby Festival Sponsorship Through 2026

Betfair Increases Derby Festival Support

Betfair has solidified its dedication to the celebrated Derby Festival by securing a three-year renewal of its current sponsorship agreement. The arrangement ensures Betfair maintains title backing of the renowned two-day spectacle at Epsom Downs Racecourse, formally designated as the Betfair Derby Festival.

This expanded collaboration with the Jockey Club, now continuing until a minimum of 2026, intensifies Betfair’s connection to the sport and encompasses assistance for supplementary races daily, raising the sum to six races throughout the two-day festival.

This declaration arrives mere months following the initial three-year deal announcement, underscoring Betfair’s commitment to the occasion.

“After an unforgettable two days at Epsom last year, we are delighted to further bolster our backing of the Betfair Derby Festival,” remarked Fred Done, Founder of Betfair. “We are genuinely eager to collaborate with Amy and the group to persist in expanding the event as the zenith of the racing schedule.”

Amy Starkey, Managing Director of The Jockey Club’s Epsom Downs Racecourse, supplemented: “Our alliance with Betfair stretches across numerous years and some incredible moments, and we are pleased to be building upon the triumph of the inaugural Betfair Derby in 2023 by prolonging our association at Epsom Downs.”

The dedication Betfred shows to UK horse racing is well-known, and we are delighted to collaborate with Fred and his staff to enhance the standing of this esteemed flat race in 2024 and into the future.”
