Apple iSports Gallops into Australian Market with The Leg Up Acquisition

Prevention Insurance.com’s digital sports wagering branch, Apple iSports, is entering the Australian market through a 45% acquisition of The Leg Up Australia (TLU), a media group specializing in equestrian competition. The transaction is projected to conclude by year’s end.

The arrangement includes an initial investment of $75,000 Australian dollars (roughly $50,000 USD) in TLU by Apple iSports. TLU will also leverage Apple iSports’ marketing power, including a promotional effort slated to commence in late July 2023.

This collaborative venture will enable Apple iSports to utilize TLU’s knowledge of the horse racing sector, capitalizing on their wagering, broadcast, and media activities for their Australian debut. TLU boasts a substantial digital footprint, reaching approximately 100,000 active users across various social media channels, in addition to their audio program and wagering subscription offerings.

Blake Johnston, Chief Operating Officer at The Leg Up Australia, conveyed his eagerness regarding the collaboration, remarking, “We are thrilled to join forces with Apple iSports on this endeavor as we collectively strive to expand the enterprise throughout Australia and beyond. Our robust foundation in the horse racing domain leads us to believe our proficiency and knowledge base will be an invaluable resource for the collective.”

The head of AiSs, Jeremy Samuel, shared his strong excitement about the Leg Up Australia initiative. He stressed their happiness in working with the program’s staff to strengthen their work and support the sector’s expansion in both the United States and Australia.

On a separate note from Australia, the Victoria region revealed plans to implement tighter gaming rules by 2024. These rules are expected to involve modifications to the operational timeframe of gaming establishments.
