Codere Online Announces Board Reshuffle as Alejandro Rodino Departs, Borja Fernández Joins

Codere Online has declared a modification to its governing body.

The Iberian digital gaming firm proclaimed a reorganization of its directorial panel. Alejandro Rodino, a member of the Codere board since the merger of Codere and DDC on November 30, 2022, has vacated his position as a company director.

Codere stated that Borja Fernández would succeed Rodino on the board. Rodino was among four executives chosen by Codere, and his responsibilities grew after his tenure as joint-CEO of the group.

During a board assembly on October 20th, Codere ratified Rodino’s departure as both a board member and a non-voting auditor of the audit committee. Following this gathering, Fernández was designated as director, awaiting official endorsement from stakeholders at Codere’s upcoming general assembly.

Fernández possesses a wealth of expertise exceeding 17 years, having participated in numerous boards across diverse sectors, encompassing private investments, structured financing, capital markets, and experience as a corporate financial director. He currently holds the position of managing partner at Ahorro Corporación Financiera in Madrid, where he spearheads private equity and corporate investment banking operations.

Fernández earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Autonomous University of Madrid and has undertaken executive education programs at Insead and IE Business School.

Codere expressed that Rodino made “substantial contributions” throughout his period with the organization.

Coderes digital platform, a subsidiary of the renowned casino enterprise Codere Group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Fernandes to its governing body. Established in 2014, Codere Online has been broadening its reach throughout Latin America and Europe. Beyond its significant foothold in Spain, the organization is active in Italy, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
