Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) and the FanDuel Group have inked a long-term deal encompassing numerous facets of FanDuel’s sportsbook, advance-deposit wagering (ADW), and broadcasting operations.
This collaboration enables CDI to furnish technology and services, empowering FanDuel patrons to wager on equestrian contests via FanDuel’s platforms. Furthermore, FanDuel assumes the mantle of an official wagering associate of the Kentucky Derby.
“We are thrilled to join forces with FanDuel to offer their extensive sports betting clientele our premium racing content,” remarked Bill Carstanjen, Chief Executive Officer of CDI. “We are confident that this alliance, leveraging FanDuel’s market strategy and our expertise, will deliver seamless wagering solutions and introduce the world of horse racing to an entirely new demographic.”
The accord also permits FanDuel to utilize CDI’s racing content for wagering on its US-based platforms and bestows upon FanDuel Group specific television and media privileges to air CDI-owned racing content on its TVG Network. In essence, this translates to increased accessibility of horse racing for a broader viewership.
FanDuel will commence remuneration to CDI for its technology and services in January 2023 through United Tote, which will streamline wagering on FanDuel’s platforms, including FanDuel Sportsbook and TVG.
