The Confederation of Asian Football (CAF) and Sportradar have prolonged their alliance, underscoring their mutual commitment to preserving honesty in athletics. This fresh accord, operational from 2024 through 2027, expands upon a collaboration initiated in 2013, signifying a 14-year joint endeavor.
The CAF and Sportradar share a protracted history of collaborating to combat game manipulation in Asian soccer. The continuation was formalized just prior to the CAF Asian Cup 2023 commencement in Qatar at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Doha on January 11th. CAF President Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa and Sportradar Chief Executive Officer Carsten Koerl were in attendance at the signing.
Sheikh Salman stressed Sportradar’s significance as a dependable collaborator over the preceding ten years, emphasizing their collective endeavors in addressing match-fixing. He observed the strategic expansion of their partnership since 2013, solidifying their connection while safeguarding equitable competition in Asian soccer.
Carsten Koerl reciprocated the sentiment, attributing their achievements to collaborative efforts and their shared dedication to safeguarding the probity of CAF tournaments.
